How to Volunteer

Volunteering is fun and rewarding at St. Vincent de Paul, just follow these simple steps.

1. Review the Volunteer Opportunities to determine which opportunity interests you. 

2. Complete and submit a Volunteer Application if you are a new volunteer or if you have not completed
   a Volunteer Application/Request in the last 6 months.
   

   • Individual Volunteers:
     If you are an individual volunteer, complete the Individual Volunteer Application and return it to volunteers@svdpatl.org.
   • Group Volunteers:
     Businesses and schools find the team building and collaborative environment created in group project fun and beneficial. 
     Accommodating between 5-25 individuals (the maximum number will vary based on the specific project), groups must be requested in advance and
     are subject to availability. If you are interested in requesting an opportunity for a group to volunteer, complete the  Group Project Application and return
     it to volunteers@svdpatl.org.  
   • Returning Volunteers:
     If you have attended an orientation in the last 12 months, and you would like to return, you may send your request (including your name, phone, email and mailing address) to volunteers@svdpatl.org.
                      
      
3. Attend a New Volunteer Orientation: Learning about the mission and vision of the SVdP and the programs and services we offer provides a clear understanding the impact your
   donation of time and talent offers. In volunteer positions that involve public contact, orientation delivers the knowledge tools you’ll need to provide necessary assistance.   AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA                                                                                                                                                 
4. Schedule your volunteer hours:Owning a volunteer time slot is very rewarding and offers our staff an invaluable resource. To ensure that your volunteer experience is as beneficial and productive to you as it is to us, we will only accept a limited number of volunteers each day in each area of need. 

Please note: Submitting an application or email request does not guarantee that you are scheduled for a shift. Each volunteer request must be reviewed and approved.  Matching need to volunteer requests guarantees that everyone’s time is used to its fullest. A confirmation response must be made to your request before you are scheduled.  If you have additional questions please contact: volunteers@svdpatl.org or 678-892-6166.
