Sweet Dreams Bed Program
Launched in 2007, the Sweet Dreams Bed Program was a response to our caseworkers who, in the course of visiting clients, found children, elderly adults and the disabled without beds.
$90,000 in funding has been provided through the generosity of foundations, grants, individuals and fundraising events at the Society. The harshness of our economic times is driving the need for beds as well as other resources higher each day. Stories like
Mary Sue finally found the courage to leave her abusive husband. She and her three children moved into Monica’s House, sponsored by the St. Monica’s Conference. Over several months, and with the financial and emotional support of the Conference, she was able to find a job and apartment. She had nothing to start a new life. The Sweet Dreams Bed Program was able to provide a crib for the baby, and a bed for herself and the other two children.
$200 can buy a crib and crib mattress for a baby
$220 can buy a twin bed set with frame for a child or single person
